Welcome to “leaf no broth unturned” – your sanctuary for plant-based culinary delights! I’m Ricki Anne, your culinary companion on this journey through the vibrant realms of soups, salads, and herbal concoctions. My heart is deeply rooted in the quaint town of Chino Valley, a cozy nook just a hop away from Prescott, Arizona. Here, my husband and I cherish our home, shared with two beloved furry companions.
Who Ricki Anne?
After a fulfilling career as a mental health case manager, I embraced the tranquil paths of yoga and meditation as a teacher. Now, I find joy in the role of a family caregiver, the creator of blank recipe books, and the author of guided journals. My days are rich with the aromas of cooking, the discovery of new and wholesome recipes, and the pages of cookbooks that tell tales of culinary wonder.
Folk Herbalism and Healthy Eating
My fascination with herbs began years ago, ignited by their power to nurture our well-being. I’ve had the privilege of learning from local herb shops in Prescott and the wisdom of mentors who generously shared their knowledge. While I’m not a licensed herbalist, my passion has earned me the affectionate title of “folk herbalist,” and it’s with this spirit that I craft what I fondly call “herbal recipes.”
My palate mostly dances to a plant-based rhythm, but you’ll find that I don’t shy away from sharing recipes with chicken, fish, eggs, and dairy. Among my cherished recipes are a few bone broth gems that often grace my table. My philosophy is not about prescribing how one should eat, but rather about mindful eating—making choices that celebrate health. I warmly encourage you to embrace the dietary path that nourishes and delights you best.
Vision for “leaf no broth unturned”
My vision is to transform “leaf no broth unturned” into a community where we explore the endless possibilities of soups, salads, and healthy eating together. From the vibrant colors of fresh produce to the rich depths of simmering pots, we’ll embark on a taste adventure that celebrates the diversity and creativity of plant-based cuisine.
So, whether you’re here for the greens, the broths, or the stories behind them, I invite you to join me. Let’s turn over every leaf and stir every pot until we uncover the full spectrum of flavors that nature has to offer.
Grab a fork, or a spoon (or both!), and let’s get this foodie friendship started!
